At the beginning of last month, we had the opportunity to host the SEA Vision User Group event: a two-day summit that brought together pharmaceutical leaders, tech innovators and automation experts to explore the future of vision systems, serialization and digital transformation.
It was our first time organizing an event of this scale and we couldn’t be prouder of the outcome. The energy, the insights and the connections made it a milestone moment for our team and our community.
Why it mattered: insights, feedback and co-creation
This summit wasn’t just about showcasing technology. It was about listening, learning and building together. Attendees shared exclusive insights, discussed what’s working (and what’s not) and helped shape the future of the systems they rely on every day.
Events like this are invaluable for aligning product development with real-world needs. Our R&D and product teams gained direct feedback, while customers got a clearer understanding of our most in-demand solutions and how they can be applied to their operations.
Day 1: collaboration and cutting-edge case studies 🤝🏼
The first day of the summit was packed with powerful case studies and forward-thinking strategies from leading pharma and tech players.
Roche showed how customer insights drive product innovation, while GSK shared lessons from their global serialization project with SEA Vision. Ducati brought an automotive lens to AI in manufacturing, followed by a session on automated line clearance and its efficiency gains. Pharmasphere demonstrated how Yudoo transformed manual packaging into a centralized, high-performing system and IBSA showcased the power of AI-driven vision and data integration in pharma operations.
Day 2: deep dives and hands-on learning 🧠
The second day of the summit was all about diving deeper into the technologies shaping tomorrow and the strategies guiding us there.
We unveiled our latest breakthrough in packaging intelligence: RFID-based unit-level traceability. As the pharmaceutical industry moves toward greater automation, precision and regulatory compliance, the ability to track individual containers throughout the manufacturing process is becoming essential. This innovation enables granular visibility at the primary packaging level, transforming how pharma companies manage quality, safety and supply chain integrity.
We also shared a glimpse into our strategic roadmap, highlighting how innovation and emerging technologies will shape the next chapter of SEA Vision. Our vision is focused on empowering customers with tools that are not only powerful, but future-proof.
Live demos in our Showroom
Throughout the day, our showroom buzzed with live demos, from smart cameras to AI-powered dashboards. Attendees got a firsthand look at the technologies shaping the future of pharma packaging, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and explore use cases.
Workshop insights
Attendees had the chance to dive into a series of hands-on workshops, selecting the topics most relevant to their roles and interests, ranging from AI validation and cybersecurity to disaster recovery and project management. With smaller group sizes, each session encouraged deeper interaction, allowing participants to exchange ideas, ask questions and walk away with practical strategies ready to implement.
Wrapping up with connection
The summit wrapped up with a vibrant exchange of ideas, where participants shared feedback, reflected on key learnings and built meaningful connections. It was more than a showcase of technology: it was a collaborative space where professionals came together to shape the future of pharmaceutical packaging through dialogue, insight and shared vision.
